Wagering requirements are the part of a bonus most players skip and later regret. At Spinboss they are simpler than they used to be: every UK bonus is capped at 10x, and on the welcome offer that 10x applies to the bonus amount only. Still, contributions, stake limits and time windows can catch you out, so it pays to understand the mechanics before you opt in.
What wagering actually means
A wagering requirement is the total amount you need to bet before bonus funds turn into withdrawable cash. It is not money you have to lose; it is turnover. If you bet £1 and win £1.50, that £1 still counts towards the total.
At Spinboss the welcome bonus is 10x the bonus amount, completed within 30 days. Your deposit is played first as real money, then the bonus balance is used. Until the requirement is met, bonus funds and anything you win from them stay locked.
The 10x UK cap explained
Since 19 January 2026, the UK Gambling Commission has capped bonus wagering at 10x for every licensed operator. Before that, much higher multiples were common across the UK market, and many bonuses were close to impossible to clear.
The cap applies to every Spinboss offer for UK players: the casino welcome, the E-wallet Boost, Friday Free Spins and free-spin winnings. If you ever see a higher multiple on a site claiming to be Spinboss UK, treat it as a red flag.
Worked examples: £10 to £1,000 deposits
The welcome match is 100% up to £1,000, with 10x wagering on the bonus.
| Deposit | Bonus | Wagering (10x bonus) | Spins at £1 to clear on slots |
|---|---|---|---|
| £10 | £10 | £100 | 100 |
| £50 | £50 | £500 | 500 |
| £100 | £100 | £1,000 | 1,000 |
| £1,000 | £1,000 | £10,000 | 10,000 |
£10 deposit. You get a £10 bonus and need to wager £100. At 20p a spin that is 500 spins on Big Bass Splash, very manageable over a few sessions.
£50 deposit. A £50 bonus means £500 of turnover. At 50p a spin, that is 1,000 spins across the 30 days.
£100 deposit. A £100 bonus requires £1,000 of qualifying bets. If you play live roulette instead of slots, only 10% counts, so you would need to stake £10,000 at the tables. Stick to slots.
£1,000 deposit. The maximum bonus of £1,000 means £10,000 of wagering. At the £5 maximum stake that is 2,000 spins; at £1 it is 10,000. Only take the full match if that volume fits your normal budget and the deposit limits you have set.

Game contributions
Not every game counts equally. Here is how Spinboss weights each category:
| Game type | Contribution | £10 bet counts as |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | 100% | £10 |
| Live casino | 10% | £1 |
| Table games (RNG) | 10% | £1 |
| Live game shows (Crazy Time, Monopoly Live) | 10% | £1 |
| Sportsbook | 0% | £0 |
Jackpot slots such as Mega Moolah sit in the slots lobby but may be excluded from bonus play, so check the game’s info panel before you spin with bonus money. Our Spinboss slots guide points out titles that suit wagering.
The max bet rule: £5, or £2 if you are 18–24
While a bonus is active you can stake no more than £5 per spin. If you are aged 18 to 24, the limit is £2 per spin. These match the UK online slot stake limits, which apply to all play, not just bonus play.
Breaking the max bet while wagering is the most common reason a Spinboss bonus is voided. Set your stake before you start and leave it there.
The 30-day window
The welcome bonus must be wagered within 30 days of being credited. Other offers have shorter windows:
- E-wallet Boost: 7 days
- Friday Free Spins: spins valid 3 days, then the standard window for winnings
- Welcome free spins: released 50 a day for 4 days
Anything left unwagered when the window closes is removed, along with winnings made from it. Your real-money balance is unaffected.
Free-spin winnings
The 200 welcome spins on Big Bass Splash and the 50 Friday spins on Le Bandit are worth 10p each. Winnings from them land as bonus funds with 10x wagering. Win £12 from your daily batch of 50 spins and you need to wager £120 to unlock it.
What voids a Spinboss bonus
- Staking more than £5 per spin (or £2 if aged 18–24) while wagering
- Requesting a withdrawal before wagering is finished
- Opening a second account or claiming the welcome offer twice in one household
- Depositing with a payment method that is not in your name
- Letting the 30-day window expire
- Patterns flagged as bonus abuse, such as switching to low-risk play purely to clear turnover
Full details are in the Spinboss terms and bonus rules.
Withdrawing with an active bonus
If you ask for a withdrawal while bonus funds are still being wagered, Spinboss forfeits the bonus and any winnings made with it. Your untouched real-money balance can still be withdrawn. If you are 80% of the way through, it is usually worth finishing first. Our Spinboss withdrawals guide covers the 24-hour review and payout times by method.
!Watch out
Spinboss does not offer reverse withdrawals for UK players. Once you request a payout, the bonus is gone for good, so decide before you press the button.
How to track your wagering progress
Spinboss shows an active bonus with a progress bar in your account area, displaying the amount wagered and the amount left. Check it after each session. If the numbers look wrong, for instance live roulette counting less than you expected, remember the 10% contribution, then ask live chat to confirm. Keep screenshots of anything you query.
Cashback: the wager-free option
If wagering is not for you, skip the welcome match and rely on Weekly Cashback: 10% of net slot losses from Monday to Sunday, up to £200, paid on Monday as real cash with no wagering. It does not apply to a week in which a bonus was active. See all the options on our Spinboss promotions page, and if bonus play is pushing you to spend more than planned, visit our responsible gaming guide.
